1 first you want to make an expanded template for your box out of cardboard paper etc.

The sides will be 3 x 3 but we add 1 2 tabs on three sides.
It is easier to cut off a 4 x 12 strip if you have a 12 x 12 sheet first then cut two 3 1 2 pieces from that strip.
Pull your handle to fold your metal over 180 degrees remove your now folded metal from the bar folder and place it back on the fold table with the fold facing up.
To cut individual steel studs and tracks use straight cut aviation snips photo 1.
Pull your handle again to the 180 degree position to better flatten your double layered portion of metal.
So mark out two 4 x 3 1 2 sections of sheet metal and cut it in the metal shear.

I have a graph paper drawing in the pics below but its not for this box 2 trace your template on to your piece of sheet metal as pictured i suggest 20 22 gauge steel.
This will create two 6 inch sides and an 8 inch metal bottom.
If you need to cut dozens of metal studs and tracks quickly use a circular saw fitted with a toothless carborundum metal cutting blade 7 when cutting individual steel studs or tracks with a circular saw cut on the closed or web side and support the piece tightly on sawhorses.
